Thanks to some great work by Netsville staff (Thanks John!) this iss ue has been resolved - In the new build, I needed to REMOVE to the Basic Session Cookie and extra cookie domains from my hazel.config and now hazel correctly sets the cookie for both the secure and non-secure domain, so no more lost carts.

Yay! Thanks again to the great customer service from Netsville!...

Thanks for the update.

My system is listed by hazel as:

FreeBSD iwbyte.com 4.7-RELEASE-p28 FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE-p28 #48: Tu i386...

Ok, we have a fix for this, but we're going to test this on a few more sites. The EXTRA_COOKIE_DOMAINS is gone and BASIC_SESSION_COOKIE is gone. We're correctly passing the client id with a redirect specifically for the jump to secure mode.

What Hazel binaries do you need?...

I just re-tested, and have

[code:1]
[/code:1]

Right at the top of the page.

I also have BASIC_SESSION_COOKIE:1 in my hazel.config

That may be that EXTRA_COOKIE_DOMAINS isn't SUPPOSED to work, but the fact is that it DID work - i have a number of other sites that are all on the same infruscructure that will all have this exact same issue and therefore will never be able to advance beyond Hazel 4.100, which greatly reduces my ability to upsell them on H4 Upgrades......

Matt, when you are switching to the secure site, are you passing the client id in the form? After looking into this, Hazel should be able to handle this because she will set a cookie based on the HTTPS_CGI_BIN, but the browser will only send that cookie after you've already switched to the secure site. To make sure your cart is maintained during the switch, Hazel needs to have the client id to reference the correct user file. So on the view page, the client id needs to be passed in the form.

The probl...

Alright... EXTRA_COOKIE_DOMAINS doesn't work because it's no longer in the source! However, there's no record as to when it was removed. So, now I need to find out what version you're running to track this down....

He's doing something funky over there... His other sites like signals.com and whatonearthcatalog.com are running versions newer than 4.116 without problems (but not the latest version). So, I need to figure that out....

Thanks for letting me know - i wish the timeframe were closer but at least I know what's going on.

FYI, i guess I should have paid more attention when Rory was exhibiting the same 'can't keep track of my cart' issues when he upgraded:

I'm working on this, but won't have anything immediately. There are a few Hazel bugs/issues I'm working on and I'm including this one. Perhaps a week or so....
