OUTLOOK SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

This page describes how to set up your Microsoft Outlook to work with mail from Netsville's servers. Tested on Outlook 2007 on XP and Vista.

  1. Go to Tools > Account Settings
  2. Click the "Email" tab
  3. Select the account you want to change
  4. Click the "Change" button

Server Information
Account Type POP3
Incoming mail server securemail.netsville.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) securemail.netsville.com
Logon Information
User Name you@domain.com

  1. Click on the "More Settings" button
  2. Click the "Advanced" tab

  1. Change the following options:
    1. Check "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"
    2. Change "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port to 587
      • Note: You can try to use port 25, but some ISPs block this port
    3. Choose "TLS" for the dropdown box for "Use the following type of encrypted connection"
      • TLS is no longer required as of 20 Oct 2011. If you cannot get your email to work, remove the TLS encryption and try again.
  2. Click the "Okay" button
  3. Click the "Next >" button
  4. Click the "Finish" button

Send a test email to yourself. If you successfully send and receive it, your account is set up properly.
